A pioneer in electrical safety and the market’s most popular online course under one roof
Cad Sä is strengthening its electrical safety training offering by acquiring Primaonline’s electrical safety online training business. Through the acquisition, Finland’s longest continuously available electrical safety online course is transferred under Cad Sä. Jorma’s decades of work will now continue along a new owner’s development path.
Decades of experience brought online – and into a market favourite
Jorma is a pioneer in electrical safety and has been training in the field for around 30 years: first for almost 20 years in classrooms and then online, after he developed his own electrical safety online course more than ten years ago. The course took three years to develop, and since then many other trainers have essentially followed the same template.
The course has been online for over a decade and has received exceptionally positive feedback for its ease of use. It is especially appreciated by those who do not have the time or opportunity to travel hundreds of kilometres to attend in‑person training. The course is also available in English, and through it hundreds of electrical professionals from Finland, Europe and the Baltic countries have been trained. The electrical work standard is the same in 22 countries, which makes it easy to obtain the required qualification via the online course developed by Jorma.
From café meeting to acquisition – the long shared path of Jyrki and Jorma
The story of Jyrki and Jorma began at the Antell café around 2010. A young Jyrki, who aspired to become an entrepreneur, asked Jorma directly whether he thought Jyrki had what it takes to be a trainer. Jorma encouraged him to get started, and especially in the early years Jyrki would ask him for advice whenever he needed it. Jorma’s support helped clarify Jyrki’s own view of his work and made a strong impression, even though the two men were “competitors” in the same field.
Over the years, Jyrki also bought from Jorma the equipment needed for live working as he himself moved into live working. At the same time, Jorma was about to give up that equipment, so the cooperation continued naturally. Jyrki repeatedly turned to Jorma as well when he was considering the development of online training.
From a January discussion to a deal – “this was a natural continuation”
In January 2026, Jyrki once again contacted Jorma about online training. This time, for the first time, the idea came up of selling Primaonline’s online training business to Cad Sä.
Jyrki saw the deal as a natural continuation of his own development path as a trainer and entrepreneur: instead of building everything from scratch, he can continue and further develop a course that he himself considers the best on the market. Jyrki has completed the online course himself and found it to be of high quality both in terms of content and usability.
For Jorma, the sale was particularly pleasing, because he knew that the course he had built would find “a good home”: its further development would be in the hands of a person he had originally encouraged into the field. The transaction progressed quickly and smoothly – without complications or unnecessary bureaucracy – and as of 1 May the operations will officially transfer under Cad Sä.
Tradition creates responsibility – Cad Sä continues in the footsteps of a pioneer
Jyrki emphasises that Primaonline’s long tradition and Jorma’s personal imprint create an obligation to keep the training high‑quality and at the forefront also in the future. The goal is to preserve what makes the course unique – strong practical experience, ease of use and wide applicability – while at the same time developing the content and service to meet future requirements.
The training that has now moved under Cad Sä thus continues its story for electrical professionals in Finland and internationally, respecting the foundation created by Jorma and building forward under Jyrki’s leadership.
